While hiking toward Sheep Lake along the Pacific Crest Trail early Saturday morning, this view caught my eye.

I really liked the layers of ridges fading into the distance. The haze gives each one a slightly different tone, with the farther mountains becoming softer and bluer. Those changing tones create a strong sense of depth.
