My fellow citizens' infatuation with the U.S. Constitution makes sense when you understand that a lot of them believe it was divinely inspired. Sure, the authors of that document set out to create a secular government, but they were guided by God to do so. The authors themselves believed so.
Of course they believed that. The owning class has always believed itself gods'/god's gift to the rest of us.
Here's the part about the U. S. Christian Nationalist worldview you really need to understand:
God made a country for white, cis, slave-owning men, and God is never wrong. The Constitution provided for slavery—still does—because God, too, provides for slavery.
So when I tell you that they mean to kill most of us and enslave the rest of us, understand that I'm not exaggerating. These people have put themselves at the center of a mythology that justifies, for them, every horror they will inflict upon us.
